Stop Only in Designated Areas:

Never stop on or near the roadway to view the Northern Lights or take photographs.
If you want to turn off your vehicle’s lights for a better viewing experience or stop to capture the scenery, first pull completely off the road into a designated parking area or other safe location. Stopping on the road or shoulder can be extremely dangerous, especially in darkness, snow, poor visibility, or on roads with fast-moving traffic.
